Blythe Danner & Gwyneth Paltrow

Both are celebrated actresses, but Blythe Danner’s daughter Gwyneth has ventured beyond Hollywood, fashioning herself as a tastemaker with her lifestyle website Goop. While remaining a movie star, Paltrow has built her brand into a mini-empire, with products ranging from cookbooks to clothing.

Blythe Danner: “I think it’s worrisome when fame happens to your child so early. Bruce [Paltrow] and I, having had careers more modest, never had that kind of scrutiny Gwyneth had, and we never had that kind of pressure.”

Goldie Hawn & Kate Hudson

Goldie’s daughter Kate Hudson, who received an Oscar nomination for 2000’s “Almost Famous,” was once asked if she could see the uncanny resemblance between herself and her mother.

Kate Hudson: “We stood in front of the mirror one time and we were both smiling. We just caught that little moment when we looked alike.”

Debbie Reynolds & Carrie Fisher

Catapulted to fame by 1977’s “Star Wars,” Carrie Fisher wrote about her relationship with her famous mother in the quasi-autobiographical 1987 novel “Postcards from the Edge.” Fisher was later asked how she felt about being Debbie Reynolds’ daughter.

Carrie Fisher: “I love being her daughter. Debbie Reynolds is great.”

Debbie Reynolds: “Have you met her?”
